Congratulations, you’re pregnant!
First of all, make an appointment with us as soon as possible. Please note that you don’t need a referral to be followed at our clinic for a pregnancy.
We always try to set the first appointment at around 9 to 11 weeks of pregnancy whenever possible.
The doctor who will be following you is a physician specialised in obstetrics and gynecology. He works in close cooperation with 12 other obstetrician-gynecologists. Your doctor will monitor your pregnancy, but it is possible that you will see another member of the team if he is absent or at the time of your delivery, for an emergency or for a follow-up in the high-risk pregnancy clinic.
Please note that your delivery will take place at Cité-de-la-Santé Hospital. The doctor on duty, who is also an obstetrician-gynecologist, will perform the delivery.
We are a team of obstetrician-gynecologists made up of men and women; it is not possible to choose a doctor of a particular gender at the time of your delivery. If that is your wish, it is your responsibility to find a hospital offering this service, as well as a physician affiliated with this hospital to follow you during your pregnancy.
